1987Airwolf makes one final landing

Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine costarred with the eponymous uber-copter in this mid-80s action series. Their aerial assault antics formed one of the decade’s many pop culture fronts of the Cold War for four seasons.

Folks in the 1980s couldn’t get enough of crimefighting vehicles. Airwolf was part of a contemporary roster than included Knight Rider‘s Kit, the A-Team’s van, Inspector Gadget’s Gadgetmobile, and Manimal’s high-octane hamster ball.  -A.D.
