TWTV Hall of Fame: The Results! (October 2012 Edition)

By Cory Barker, Greg Boyd, Les Chappell, Emma Fraser, Andrew Rabin, Anthony Strand, and Cameron White
Happy Wednesday folks. The polls are now closed and we have the results of our second month of the TWTV Hall of Fame. We would like to thank all of you who voted, and who shared and retweeted the nomination post. We’re pretty happy with the new format but we’re always willing to hear feedback, so keep it coming. Without further ado, here are the October 2012 results.
Inducted into the TWTV Hall of Fame are:
- Fawlty Towers, with a tremendous 95 percent of voters saying “yay.”
- Freaks and Geeks, with an also impressive 92 percent of voters voting “yay.”
- The Office (UK), with 82 percent of votes going “yay.”
Declined induction into the TWTV Hall of Fame are:
- Spaced, after a close vote where 57 percent of the votes were “yay.”
- Slings and Arrows, after another nail-biter of a vote, only received 51 percent of votes saying “yay.”
- The Jim Henson Hour, with just 47 percent of “yay” votes.
- Frank’s Place, which only garnered 45 percent “yay” votes.
There you have it. Fawlty Towers, Freaks and Geeks, and The Office join Twin Peaks, I Love Lucy, and Sesame Street in the Hall of Fame. Spaced, Slings and Arrows, The Jim Henson Hour, and Frank’s Place must live to fight another day a few months down the road. We’ll be back in November with a new theme and a new race. In celebration of these show’s achievements, please enjoy this glorious musical treat from one Philip Michael Thomas:
