Paul Giamatti portrayed the Founding Father and Laura Linney played his loyal and gifted wife Abigail in a seven-part miniseries directed by Tom Hooper and adapted from David McCullough’s bestselling biography. The eight-hour program was nominated for 23 Emmy awards and won a record 13, including Oustanding Miniseries and acting awards for Giamatti, Linney, and Tom Wilkinson. -A.D.
