Joel and Victoria Osteen wed on April 4, 1987, and they have remained happily married for over three decades.

He affirmed their welcome but added that homosexuality is not God’s best.

The following year, he returned to the show to clarify, expressing his belief that it’s not what God intended by stating, “It’s not God’s best for your life.”

During a 2012 interview on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Joel informed Oprah Winfrey that he believes Scripture depicts homosexuality as a sin.

Despite this, he also believes that no one can completely free themselves from sin, indicating his belief that heaven will accept gays.
