Last September, Kelly Wearstler welcomed their third baby, Crosby, through a surrogate.
They found out about it during a pool party at their lavish 1926 Beverly Hills estate, often called the Broccoli house, due to its previous owner, James Bond film producer Albert Broccoli.
This surprise happened about seven weeks before Crosby’s due date, so they rushed to a hospital near Santa Barbara.
Only a few close friends and family knew about their decision to have Crosby, who arrived two weeks later.
Like other women in their 50s, such as supermodel Naomi Campbell, they chose to keep it private and celebrate when the baby arrived. It’s like a fresh start for their family.
At her home, Kelly hosts a playgroup twice a week for babies and their mothers or nannies, mostly women in their 30s.
