If you went to that page’s ‘About’ section, you’d find a story that seemed quite convincing about the American director passing away.
“At about 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday (September 27, 2023), our beloved director Tim Burton passed away. Tim Burton was born on August 25, 1958 in Burbank. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”
Many fans rushed to the Facebook page to share their condolences and express their sadness about the supposed death of the talented 65-year-old director.
But some didn’t believe the post.
Some fans were immediately skeptical and pointed out that no major American news networks reported the news, which suggested it was fake.
But now, it looks like the admin has deleted the page, as no one can find it on Facebook.
Additionally, on September 28, 2023, the director’s representative officially confirmed that Tim Burton is not dead.
They said, “He joins the long list of celebrities who this hoax has victimized. He’s still alive and well. Stop believing what you see on the Internet.”

Tim Burton’s Parent’s Death Might Be A True Story
Although fans are thankful that Tim Burton is not dead, the same cannot be said for his parents.
Tim Burton’s mother, Jean Burton, owned a shop full of cat-themed gifts, while his dad, William “Bill” Burton, who used to play baseball in the minor leagues, worked for the Burbank Parks and Recreation Department.
Sadly, Bill passed away in 2000 while Tim made his version of “Planet of the Apes.” His mom, Jean, followed two years later in 2002.
Burton once mentioned that he never really felt like he belonged in their Burbank home and had a distant connection with them throughout his life.
The theme of parents and children reconnecting in his movie Big Fish captured his attention, mainly because such a reconnection never occurred for him.
Now Tim Burton is a parent himself to two children: a son and a daughter. His son Billy Raymond Burton has become successful as an actor himself.
